Shake My Booties

It really was, I mean I still slacked off and gamed with the boy (heh heh, that still sounds weird to me), but I still had 4 stories I had to write. Saturday I wrote two of my stories for my e-zine that are due today. The ghost walk people never called me back and I couldn’t get ahold of them when I called so my story for the paper this week? Nothing. Nathan said that since the marks don’t have to be submitted until December he told me to come talk to him after reading week about writing a story then to fill in the gap for this one falling dead. Which is good for me and a big relief.

I have one more story to finish for my e-zine and then that is all done. I also found out that my sign-up orientation for the online paper is at 1, which is when I booked my doctors appointment. Bah. I guess I should have checked the time and date last Friday before I made the appointment with the doctor’s office. So I will wait until 830 and hopefully they have another appointment available today, if they don’t I might just cry. My knee has been grinding and popping lately and I just want to make sure everything is okay with it and I don’t have to worry about it dislocating like it did before my knee surgery years ago.

Today I woke up at 6am thinking I still had to come in for my story editing even though I didn’t have a story to edit. Nathan pretty much told me there was no reason for me to be there or to have come in in the first place, and I don’t have anything to do now until 1pm… UGH. So I’m hoping that I can get a doctors appointment to break up the monotony of my wait here in IT. 15 minutes until I can call the doctors.

….have I ever mentioned that I have very little patience and I get bored very easily? Yeah, well I do. Yay for waiting *rolls eyes*

So besides all of that waiting I am also excited. I’m going home on Friday. Since I have no class on Friday I’ll be leaving as early as MM can pick me up, and then I’m home for a week! An entire week! I’m blissfully happy just thinking about it. A week with no school and all family and boyfriend… *sigh* It will be awesome.

Tomorrow I will be heading off to Square One Mall with Missy since she needs to go dress shopping. Although I’m not looking forward to the actually dress shopping part, I am looking forward to looking for a new winter jacket and some new winter boots. I’ll also be looking for a new warm sweater since the zipper on the one I wear now ripped… which made me incredibly sad since I only bought it a year ago. Yeah, sad I know. Oh well that just means I have to keep an eye out for these things, even if I don’t buy them tomorrow (I probably won’t), I can still figure out what kind of coat I’m looking for, same with the boots. That way I have them in my mind for future reference.

Sorry for the confusing post with me writing about a million different things at once. Really I am, but right now my brain is still not functioning at all. It hasn’t woken up yet.

I am so happy about the fact that this week is almost over. I have been busy all week and I am really hoping for a few days to settle down and relax. I finished my essay that is due today and even have the appropriate amount of words. It was not an easy task let me tell you, I had a hardcore case of writer’s block. Oh well it’s done now and that’s all that matters. Besides that I have the ghost walk tonight to get through and then I have an autobiography that is also due tomorrow morning, which I guess I will work on when I get back from the ghost walk, it will more than likely suck but there is only so much I can do.

This weekend will be nice, I’ll get to sit around and relax. And then next week, I have no idea what it will bring for me. I know I will have to hand in my final story for the Sheridan Sun newspaper and then after reading week I will be on the Sheridan Sun Online. I hope that it is interesting and that I learn valuable experience from it. I have one midterm next week that I am aware of. And then I will be going home for a week! I can’t wait, I am seriously excited for it. An entire week at home with my family and Kai… *sigh* I start smiling just thinking about it.

So that’s about everything I have for now, I will probably write more on the weekend.

I loved being home for the weekend. I couldn’t have enjoyed it more. My family including my grandparents was there, as was Kai. I had a lovely turkey dinner (gobble gobble) and one of my (new) favourite cheesecakes: Oreo Cheesecake. I swear it is more delicious than I thought it would be, and everyone else anjoyed it as well which I was happy about. I didn’t make the cheesecake but I did find the recipe so I was seriously hoping that no one would hate it LOL.

Besides going and eating lovely Thankgiving dinner food I also bought some things since I had some extra money this weekend. I bought 3 pirs of trackpants (yes it seems like a lot but I had none and I wanted comfortable lounging-around-the-house pants lol), an ornament for Yogurts new tank (which will be coming back with me after reading week since there was no extra room in my Grandpa’s van), a new snazzy sweater/cover-up thing, OH and I FINALLY found nose studs that were big enough for my piercing. I also decided to finally go down a gauge size for my eyebrow peircing since I can never find any 14g stuff that isn’t huge, so now I’m down to a 16g and the jewlery I bought for both my nose and eyebrow look awesome.

So all in all I had a very good weekend. I got to hang out with my family and poke fun at them. I missed that the most I think, making fun of everyone (it’s a brutal way, but that’s how we show the love in our family). I also got to hang out with Kai which was another big deal for me since I missed him terribly. And now I only have to wait two more weeks until I go home again for reading week (an entire week of being with fam and Kai?!?! YAY!!)

Besides my awesomely awesome weekend (yes it was so awesome I had to write the word twice) I have a busy week ahead of me. Today I had my story due, which I had completed last night, I also have to go and try to see the career councillor at 1030, then I’m going to walk down to the post office to drop off my OSAP stuff so I can have money within the next week, and then I have to call the ghost walk people so I can get this thing set up for Thursday and get it done. I also have a presentation tomorrow and an essay/possible presentation on Thursday in my history class. And an autobiography due on Friday. So I will be a busy girl these next few days.

Okay well I’m off to meet Missy for a smoke since she just woke up LOL.

I am seriously excited! I am going home tomorrow! I miss home, and everything about it. So tomorrow I am heading back and I get to see my man tomorrow as well, so I am super pumped for that as well. But what that means is that I definitely have to pack tonight. *sigh* I don’t like packing. The way I pack is pretty much the same way everytime (especially if I’m going home): I take all my dirty laundry and shove it in my bag, grab my shower things (shampoo, conditioner, etc), maybe a book, my laptop, cell phone charger shove all those thing in another bag seperate from my laundry, and off I go. Packing to come back is another mater all together since I actually have to fold my laundry, because at that point it’s completely clean and I just can’t stand not to fold it if I’m packing.

This weekend home means, since I will have a little extra money, a new home for Yogurt. I will be searching high and low looking for a new, bigger tank for him. Hopefully I can find one that is cheap and big enough for him to be happy. Speaking of my fish, Taco seems to be having some kind of decorating phase right now. When DD came up here to visit me he brought me some gravel for Taco’s tank. For the past few nights Taco has been moving the grave; around and, it seems like, redecorating. Weird.

Side note: my computer screen is so completely dirty and disgusting, seriously gross. I need to wipe down my entire computer since my keyboared is also kind of gross (okay it’s completely disgusting as well). I don’t know how I always let it get so gross but it does, so I will be cleaning it when I get the motivation to do it (hopefully this weekend).

I wil also be posting a picture soon of my fabulous nails. While hanging with Missy yesterday I stole some of her nail polish and pretty much foreced her to do some nail art for me. She has a nail art stamp kit where you basically stamp the picture or design on your nails. Rigt now the base coat on my nails is black and ontop is white zebra stripes… fabulous I know. And Missy, if you’re reading this, I’m totally going to be using that nail art kit more often, just so you know .

I think that is pretty much all I have for now, I’m currently sitting in class bored out of my mind listening to a lecture on World War 1. I would be interested if I hadn’t learned about the Wars in all of my history classes in school (of which I think I took 3, and these were optional ones), and then listening to DD when he gets into one of his lecturing moods (or if you accidentally mention it, at that point you’re in for a 2 hour lecture). So I know about this stuff already and I don’t want to hear it again. The reason why I came to this class was because we apparently have a presentation next week and I don’t know what it’s on, and she hasn’t told us yet. 3 hours of lecturing… BOOOOOORING!.
