Shake My Booties

The bathroom renovations are almost done… FINALLY!!. It felt like this project would never get done. I have gotten the workroom primed with two coats or primer. And the drywall that DD and I put up in the bathroom primed with two coats. Tomorrow after DD and I pick up a new can of primer I will get the rest of the bathroom done. Thursday we will be picking up the paint and painting it and then it should be DONE! The Gods know that this project has just been dragged out and is completely ready to be done and over with. 

So thats all I have now to report and I will try and blog again, most likely after the bathroom is finally completed and put back together again.

It’s been a while since my last post. But I have actually been busy the last few weeks. Me and DD have been doing renovations on the basement bathroom. The shower was leaking so we had to re-do the plumbing, during which, when we had to remove some of the drywall, we found a crap load of mold. So we re-did the plumbing, hung new drywall, and over the last few days I have been mudding and sanding the walls down. A few spots of the mudding are taking forever to dry but it will eventually and then I can get to priming the bathroom and the work room (where we have also been mudding and sanding new drywall). I love doing these kinds of things, making some new and pretty. I’ve even thinking of adding an accent on the walls or something when I finally get to paint it. I’m pretty sure the base colour for it will be a light spring green.

Besides that I was in the hospital on Friday because of a really bad cough/chest pain that was pretty much not allowing me to breathe. They gave me a cough suppressant and some special cough medicine that seems to be working, but what that means is that I am no longer able to do sanding in the bathroom because that probably didn’t help the situation in the first place

Today I had a job interview at a different call centre here at home. I think it went very well and I am pleased with it. I looked very snazzy as well, so that could only have helped my chances with this job. It would be basically the same things that I was doing at Startek when I worked there last year so at least I will know basically what’s going on and I won’t be completely lost. The lady who did my interview said that they are just finishing up the interviews and that they will be calling people back as early as later on this afternoon, and will be making the callbacks over the next few days. So if I don’t hear anything by Thursday I will be sending her a quick email to see what’s going on with it. 

I also have my doctor’s appointment on Wednesday about my colonoscopy that I have to make sure I remember (I highly doubt I will forget about it LOL). 

I think that about brings you all up to date on what’s going on with me. So really, I’m just as boring as ever LOL. Well I am going to go and read my book and relax.

I am watching TV and cleaning and yelling at the cats to shut up. Since I am jobless right now, Sarnia has very slim pickings when it comes to jobs, I am cleaning the house. Sweeping is up next after I’m done picking up the floor and room. 

Other than cleaning I have been job searching. And I’m getting the feeling more and more often that I am most likely not going back to school this upcoming year because I won’t have enough money to do it. Especially since I found out that I didn’t get into residence again. Well I did but I am waaaaay far down on the waitlist, spot 345 to be exact, so now on top of all of my financial problems I will have to worry about rent as well. So basically life sucks right now, but if you’ve been following my blog for a while you would know that, according to me, my life always sucks

I don’t remember if I wrote about this or not but I have an appointment with a doctor about my colonoscopy on May 27th. So 2 weeks plus a day…. *sigh*

Ok well I’ve taken a long enough break so I am off to continue cleaning…

keeps on coming. I found out today that I am not going to be moving back into residence this Fall. Currently I am slot number 345 on the waitlist. So it’s not going to happen for me. Which means that I will have to move into an apartment or rent a basement or something like that if I go back to school. I say if because I am still unsure if I will be able to pay for it.So things are up in the air right now. 

I am still looking for a job, I sent out some resumes today and hope I get something. If I can’t find a job I’m basically screwed. I’m going to call Startek back (the call centre I used to work at) and see if I can beg my way back in. I’ve already talked with one of the recruitment managers and she turned me down because I am not a local student but I am going to see again anyways since my scholastic future may be put on hold for another year. And for school money I have also applied for about a half dozen scholarships so far, and will be applying to more. 

So far today has just been crappy. I wish things would fall into place but right now I highly doubt it. 

Thats my quick update for now. Will write more as it happens I guess.
