SCHOOL IS DONE!!!!

Ok, so now that I have that out of my system

I am officially done my first year of college. Freaky to me. The year flew by and now I’m done. I am sitting at home on my very comfortable couch writing this and I am actually proud of myself. I am proud that I was able to make it through the year with minimal issues, minimal hospital visits (only 1!) and minimal freak outs. I did have medical stuff to worry about but that is just the way my life goes.

This week went great. Wednesday I handed in my website and got 23/25. I got around the same mark for my Thursday presentation of my photo essay and I think I did okay on my test that morning. I also think that Fridays presentation and exam went well. And Friday was just a completely exhausting day. We packed everything into my car and let me tell you I don’t think that poor car could fit anymore stuff in it. It looked like it was going to explode! We drove home and once we got there we collapsed onto the couch. I was actually in bed and, most likely asleep, by about 1130. I was TIRED beyond belief.

And today is absolutely beautiful out! MM, Camera and I went out this morning, did some running around. I came back took a shower and now I am sitting outside (I have moved from the couch) letting the wind dry my hair. It is awesome. After this I am going to straighten my hair and then head out to go see Kai. We ware most likely going to end up down by the bridge which will be even more beautiful. 

Ok, well I’m off to have a smoke before I go running around again!

so I will most likely not be posting a lot this week because it’s already a crazy week. I have so many assignments/tests/exams/EVERYTHING to do that I will be too busy to post.

This is my to-do list for this week:

• finish website for tomorrow
• finish Walsh’s project for Friday
• study for test on Thursday
• present photo essay on Thursday
• study for exam on Friday
• clean/pack and get ready for moving back home on Friday
• have final little party with Missy and Shorty on Thursday night
• TRY AND NOT DIE FROM ALL THE STRESS!

So I think that just about covers this week. I’m already freaking out and wanting it to be over with. I am still not over the fact that I am 3 days away from being finished my first year of college. Seriously, it still freaks me out how fast the time has flown by. 

Ok that is all for now. I am going to go read for a bit before I have to actually break down and do some cleaning and/or packing of my room. Ugh. I hate cleaning

my classes I believe. I had my exam for WFN2 yesterday and think I did pretty well. Also I am almost completely positive that I am passing my Addictions elective with a 77%! Which is really good because I thought I was barely passing the course LOL. Now I have 2 exams and 1 test (the test is in my Addictions course but its only on the last 3 chapters of the book) and 4 major projects due. But I only have a week plus a day left of school so I’m good.

I’m off to do some homework now for a presentation today and then I’m off to see Nathan to give him my outline for my editorial, which is going to rock btw because it’s about the decline of media and the possible outcome of what will happen if it deteriorates completely. A good end for the year I think.

to sit here and write this post out. The past few days I have been distracted or completely too lazy to even consider writing a post. 

My Easter weekend home was awesome. I hung out with Kai on Thursday after I got home and all of Friday. Then I hung out with the fam on Saturday and Sunday. All in all it was an awesome weekend until I left home. About halfway back to school I get a text message from MM saying “I was just putting some laundry in the dryer and found a load of your clothes… hope you have enough socks!” Greeeeeeeaaaaaaat. And I only have about 4 pairs of socks btw. 

Then after that I realized that I had forgotten the new tripod that DD had bought me and half of my groceries apparently never made it back to school with me. So this week has not started out great at all.

Yesterday was an even worse day. I woke up to be at my meeting for 8 AM. Made it there, got my story edited, finally got everything back around 930 AM when Nathan tells me that he pretty much wants me to rewrite my story in another format and add some new stuff to it. *sarcasm* awesome. So I redo my story, come back to the newsroom around 11 (I snuck  a 45 min nap in there ) and handed in my story. I didn’t get it back until close to 12 I believe which is when I went to go layout my page. The page layout was a STRUGGLE for some reason yesterday, nothing was fitting, my headlines sucked, and the final straw for me was when I couldn’t get a picture to copy to my Macbook form the server without taking 20 mins to do so. So after the stupid server caused my poor Macbook to freeze up 20 thousand times I had to restart my computer, and I wasn’t able to save my page that was perfectly laid out minus the fucking picture. But a got a stroke of luck because after I rebooted my comp I was able to retrieve my page. I saved it to the server and used the newsroom computer so mine wouldn’t get  messed up anymore.

After that was all done (I finally got everything done around 2!!!) I came back to my room and ended up smashing my head into the wall at the top of my bed, not on purpose, but it just seemed to fit with the day I had been having.

After that, and since I had no food, Shorty, Missy and I took the bus down to Taco Bell…. yuuuum. It was delicious.

Oh and I have officially given up on getting any kind of a decent nights sleep. The last week or so I have been sleeping terribly and last night I pretty much woke up every 2 hours… ugh. Oh well.

Some good news is that school is done in 2 weeks! I still cannot comprehend that I have completed almost an entire year of college. It doesn’t feel like I have and I am still surprised that school is almost done. And that means this weekend, besides finishing homework and studying for exams, I will be packing up my room and getting everything cleaned and done. Shorty and I will be super cleaning our suite next Tuesday or Wednesday because it has to be spotless when we move out. I won’t be moving out until the 25th (the Saturday) because no one can pick me up until then (DD realized that his classes go a week longer than mine and he has to be there on the Friday so the students can hand in all their final projects and such to him) So that means I have at least and extra day to get everything together and ready and make sure that I don’t forget anything here. And it’s a good thing DD is coming to pick me up so he can do a final tour of the rooms and make sure nothing is forgotten, he’s good at that
