Hopefully, this one will be better than the last

I’m going to post today even though I’m still not feeling the blogging mojo. OK. *blows out breath* I’m getting down to business now.
Lets start on Sunday when I came back to residence. I was supposed to meet up with Kai around 11 but didn’t end up going until around 130 since DD decided to take forever changing the car’s headlight. Mind you, I can understand it taking forever since it was broken and refusing to come out so DD could change the bulb, but I can’t understand why DD waited until 15 minutes before I left to start changing it. Ugh. So after that craziness I went and hung out with Kai until I had to go home, it was sad leaving him again after being home for a month.
After I left Kai’s house I did some minimal grocery shopping then headed home to make sure everything was packed and ready to go. My mom got home and we loaded up the car (DD made a check of my room to make sure I hadn’t forgotten anything… turns out I would have forgotten my alarm clock and my George Forman grill…love you DD!!) And then we hit the road. I drove the entire way back up to Oakville, about a 2.5 hour drive from Sarnia. This was fun because I haven’t driven at night on the highway or driven in a big city since my parentals are scared of me driving in a big city. Once we got to Oakville and had stopped at a light, I turned to MM and said “Mom, guess what?” “What?” “I’m driving in the big city! *insert car boogie here*” She laughed
We ate before coming back to rez since we were both starving, and then went to rez. After calling in Shorty and a few friends she had over as reinforcements, we lugged all my crap upstairs and finally settled in. FYI, I still haven’t unpacked my 6 bags of luggage yet
. MM stayed the night with me, which did not turn out how I would have liked. She hogged the bed, made weird noises, snored, and kneed me in the side a few times. I did not have a good nights sleep. She left around 9AM on Monday and headed home.
Monday’s classes went ok. I only had one class, for the e-zine. In this class, well for the first 7 weeks of this semester until I get switched over to the paper, we have to create an online magazine. Including links and using HTML coding, 4 feature stories, and 12 pages worth of magazine. I’m in a group with 3 other people I know from last semester, so I’m happy about that. We’re going to do an e-zine on Food & Drink. See my last post for a few more details on that.
Yesterday I only had one class, Electronic Publishing, and I think it’s going to be my favourite class this semester. We’re going to be learning about HTML, Photoshop, and a program called Dreamweaver. At some point we will also be making our own webpages. At that point, if we get to keep our sites past the end of the semester, I will probably move my blog over there so I can make my own layouts and things and not have to worry about not being able to change things to the way I want them *cough*wordpress*cough*. We will also be working on a different webpage in pairs. So I am definitely stoked about this class.
Today is going to be a looooong day. I already had a class this morning, Electronic Pub., and now I have a 5 hour gap between classes. Ugh. My next class starts at 3. I think I have a good deal going since I live in rez and can just pop into my room for awhile, catch a nap, whatever, while other students like Jordan, have to commute to school and are stuck here for that long gap between classes. At least Jordan has a 30 min thing with the newspaper that she has to do. And this is why I’m blogging now, because Jordan and Laura are in that meeting and I’m sitting here waiting for them to get out.
So thats school so far. Other than that nothing much has gone on this week except me and Kai had a kind of huge argument last night that just never seemed to end. He is talking about joining the military, and I am vehemently opposed to it for various reasons that I won’t write out here cause then my post would be too long, but suffice it to say that it seemed to go on forever and we never seemed to get anywhere with it. He seemed to be very stuck in his opinions and didn’t seem like he was listening to anything I was saying, which only furthered to piss me off. Before that I had been on a shopping high, just coming back from the mall with my new purchases (10 new pairs of panties from La Senza, they had a sale on for 5for $15 or 10 for $20, some burnable DVDs and a new tote bag that I can use to carry my laptop in for classes instead of using my backpack). And then my shopping high crashed and burned when he started bringing this stuff up. We have rehashed this issue plenty of times so right now I’m at the point of “I don’t care anymore, do what you want *throws hands in the air*”. I’m over it.
I didn’t go to sleep happy last night, but I couldn’t deal with him anymore or I was going to start pulling my hair out… and I don’t think I would be that attractive as a bald person.
Today though, when I came back from my class to get food, I think something worse… or maybe just weirder, was in my room: Shorty’s friend Maggie was there (with Shorty of course) and she was drunk… at 1030AM!! She has some issues and stuff but still… get a grip on yourself. She had brought a bottle of wine over and had downed pretty much the entire thing. Yeesh. And man was she loud!. Yelling at the computer and talking like she thought we were deaf… god. I bolted out of there as soon as I had scarfed down my food and headed out to meet up with Jordan and Laura. Really? 1030AM?? *rolls eyes*
But thats been my week so far, sorry for the long post guys.
Later days!
